Description
This course examines the formulation and implementation of corporate strategy within complex organizations in a dynamic, global environment. In this course, students will adopt the perspective of general managers who are responsible for the performance of diversified, multi-business firms; for the strategic decision-making processes around scale and scope; and building corporate competencies. As general managers, they will take into account the sources of competitive advantage and environment of the individual lines of business and make corporate-level decisions surrounding the choices of what businesses the organization should or should not compete in.
