Organizations around the world are struggling to develop the know-how to aggregate, analyze, and monetize the growing surge of available data. The demand for managers who can develop the mind-set and skills needed to engage in data analytic thinking is vastly outpacing the current availability of workers in the U.S. and around the world.

The advanced certificate in Data Analytics provides an opportunity for potential managers i) to develop data analytic thinking, ii) to improve the way they intelligently communicate data to other stakeholders, iii) to acquire essential skills needed to ethically conduct data analytics and iv) to position themselves to pursue a career path in data analytics.

Applicants to the Certificate program must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (or the equivalent degree in a foreign country). GMAT/ GRE is not required for entry into the certificate program. Students interested in continuing their education and obtaining a Master’s-level degree at Zicklin will have to apply to and be admitted into these programs separately.

Students must take and satisfactorily complete the three required graduate-level CIS courses on Data Analytics listed below. The Professional Certificate in Data Analytics is awarded to students upon completion of these courses with a minimum grade point average of 2.7. Requirements must be completed within three calendar years of enrollment in the Certificate program.

Completed Certificate courses carry graduate-level credits that may later be transferred to any of the Zicklin Masters Level programs when applicable and appropriate. These programs require students maintain a minimum average GPA of 3.0 to be in good academic standing and to graduate.
