Internship in Strategic Communication

Description

Students work within an organization under the supervision of both their professional mentors and the internship coordinator. Internship fields in Strategic Communication include work that provides students with experience in using strategic communication to further organizational goals across any sector of the economy. Examples of possible internship work include but are not limited to public relations, internal communication, media relations, crisis communication, social media management, communication planning, sustainability communication, and many other types of roles in for-profit, non-profit and/or government agencies. This experience must incorporate at least 45 experiential (work) hours during the semester. A report on the internship experience will be submitted to the faculty advisor at the end of the term.

This course is graded on a pass/fail basis, and it may be taken multiple times.
