Description
This course introduces students to the analysis of public policy and policymaking, focusing on approaches for identifying problems and goals, developing alternatives, analyzing potential impacts, and formulating recommendations for advocacy andpolicy action in the public sector. Students are introduced to various analytic approaches and arguments, and through readings and assignments, are provided opportunities to investigate specific areas of social concern and to analyze potential policy responses. Open to Austin W. Marxe School of Public and International Affairs students; others with Marxe School permission.
