The demand for managers who can develop the mind-set and skills needed to manage cybersecurity risks and governance is vastly outpacing the current availability of workers in the U.S. and around the world.  The certificate program will help develop the workforce to address the growing need for well-prepared business cybersecurity professionals.

The curriculum for the certificate program in Cybersecurity is a subset of the program in MS-IS, thus potentially allowing the students the option to apply to and enroll in our master’s level programs.

Applicants to the Certificate program must possess at least a 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (or the equivalent degree in a foreign country). Students will need to satisfy criteria used for admissions to the MS-IS program.

Students interested in continuing their education and obtaining an MS degree at Zicklin will have to apply to and be admitted into these programs separately. Completed Certificate courses carry graduate-level credits that may later be transferred to any of the Zicklin Masters Level programs when applicable and appropriate.

Students must take and satisfactorily complete three graduate-level CIS courses on Cybersecurity listed below. The Professional Certificate of the Cybersecurity is awarded to students upon completion of these courses with a minimum grade point average of 2.7. Requirements must be completed within three calendar years of enrollment in the Certificate program. Completed Certificate courses carry graduate-level credits that may later be transferred to any of the Zicklin Masters Level programs when applicable and appropriate. These programs require students maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.
